Year 5

Project 1 - The National Trust

To design, develop and execute a live project with a prestigious client, The National Trust. The aim was to design and build a pavillion to commorate the centenary of WW1, and reflect the site, at Dunham Massey and its involvement as a military hospital.
Phase 1 - To create individual design concepts for the pavilion. Unfortunately my design didnt make it past this phase.
Phase 2 - A a group to develop 4 designs within a group to present to The National Trust.
Phase 3 - Within our group to develop, manage and excute 2 successful designs chosen by The National Trust.

Project 2 - Dream Pavilion

Within a group we entered a live competition to design a 'Dream Pavilion' to be built in Bethnal Green, London.

The concept drivingthe dream pavilion 'Psomnia' expands and plays on the theory that ' dreams reveal more than they conceal' seeking to alter the perception of the user through a series of optical illusions.

Project 3 - 1KHO

A 48 hour group project to design a 1000 year house. As our population is set to grow exponentially, it consequently means we' be digging deeper into our resources aswell as billions more people to feed and house. So we proposed silkworms as a source of food and a method of construction.

Project 4 - D3 Housing of Tomorrow

A durable, practical, lightweight, versatile and modular system. Designed to change in either location or application so that it is easy to assemble, dismantle, transport and store.
Inspired by growing population displacement with ore than 45.2 million people displaced in the year 2012.Natural disasters and conflict is inherent in our future which gives demand for disaster relief architecture and nomadic lifestyles.

Year 3

With the progression and flux of technology becoming more and more available with social networks and data, the modern world is becoming more and more seperated from human relationships which dilutes appreciation of individuality and identity.
Architecture can influence social pattern and behaviour whilst maintaining positive historical values.
This project will accomodate and house the human interactions and induce identity formation with individuality.

There is an art to relationship” as Gordon Cullen suggests.

The NQ Hub will support and improve the culture, independence and identity of the northern quarter.

To influence the users to reconcile with themselves, boost individuality and reintegrate with human culture.
Assist and support new creative businesses whilst providing affordable workspace.

Year 2

Chips project

With our world's population increasing and city living in higher demand, urban farming is the next step into sustainability

The project is located in the New Islington Regeneration Project where it will provide a wealth of healthy food locally grown to encourage people to take care of their health and wellbeing, to promote the use of unused land which can create diversity, to inspire all ages and bring a sustainable community to fruition.

It consists of two tiered forms. One a landscaped hill and the other mirrors the form but holds a hydroponic farm shop with student accommodation which is set up to provide work experience for agricultural students.

Graz Art Education Centre

Located in a Austrian Sculpture park, in Graz. The centre will provide accommodation for both students and a professor of Art with the additional access to a research and gallery space.
A trio of elements that have minimal environmental impacts with passive systems and a keen relationship with its environment.

Elemental Pavilion

Located in Sale water Park, Manchester. The pavilion provides shelter whilst offering concealed and open panoramic views of the countryside and lake for the public and seasonal bird watchers. a low carbon structure which can be disassembled and moved or grow into its environment.
